More development is coming to the Nolensville area, after PGM Properties recently announced its acquisition of a 17-acre tract near the corner of Burkitt Road and Nolensville Pike, just north of town.
Director of property management for PGM Diane Adcock said the land will be near the company’s existing 36,500 square-foot retail development, the Burkitt Commons, Phase I.
The newly purchased land will be Phase II. According to PGM, the second phase will be a mixed-use project containing retail, restaurants, medical office outparcels and other commercial uses.
According to a PGM release, the retail development already standing is Phase I of the project and is a retail town center at the entrance of a residential development with the same name. The residential development is within walking distance, and there Regent Homes is building 160 townhomes, 10 live/work homes and 30 condominiums.
Phase I is anchored by Tito’s Mexican Grill, Hoss’ Loaded Burgers and Brews Liquors. PGM says the retail space will also feature a full-service dental clinic under Will Jones, DDS.
Both phases of Burkitt Commons are being financed by Wilson Bank and Trust.
To developers, the concept behind the Burkitt Commons is simple: bring an urban lifestyle to Nolensville. That urban lifestyle is something the developers say residents want but the high costs of living are driving them out of the city and into the suburbs.
“Nolensville continues to see dramatic value increases and rapid growth,” Principal broker and partner for PGM Dudley Parker said. “We are pleased with the exceptionally strong interest in Burkitt Commons Phase I and expect similar results in Phase II.”
