Nashville’s residential real estate sector continues seeing major personnel movements, as Brentwood-based Pilkerton Realtors announced Tuesday it has landed 15 agents, all but one from Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty.
Relatedly, and according to a release, Pilkerton has opened its fourth office (and second in Williamson County) and tapped veteran real estate agent Matt Ligon to oversee it as managing broker.
The announcement follows multiple similar moves. In early January, the recently created Central Real Estate Partners acquired Village Real Estate Services. Prior to that, Nashville-based Christianson Patterson Courtney & Associates announced in December it would merge with Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty (read here). And in November, New York-based firm Compass announced its entrance in the Nashville market, adding agents from Synergy, Village, Zeitlin Sotheby’s, Parks and Chateau Properties (read here).
Ligon joins Pilkerton’s Franklin office in Cool Springs after managing Zeitlin Sotheby’s Franklin office for 19 years. A native of Franklin and a Realtor since 1992, Ligon was Williamson County Association of Realtor’s Realtor of the Year in 2011 and served as WCAR president in 2013.
Ligon is a graduate of Battle Ground Academy and the University of Richmond. He serves on the BGA Board of Trust, is a member of the Franklin Noon Rotary Club and has served on the boards of the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County and Franklin Tomorrow.
“Franklin is a key growth area in the Middle Tennessee real estate market and we believe having an office there was a natural extension for our firm,” Jim Terrell, Pilkerton managing partner, said in the release. “We are very fortunate to have Matt join us as our managing broker. Nobody knows and understands the Williamson County and Franklin real estate market better than Matt.”
In addition to its two Williamson County offices, Pilkerton operates two offices in Nashville. J. Fred Pilkerton founded the company in 1969.
Since opening in mid-January, the Pilkerton Franklin office at 284 Seaboard Lane has added 15 professionals, 13 of whom worked with Ligon previously at Zeitlin Sotheby’s. They are as follows:
