LifePoint Health announced the team that will lead the company after it merges with RCCH HealthCare Partners.
LifePoint Health announced that it would merge with RCCH in July. An investment management firm called Apollo Global Management owns RCCH, and decided to purchase the company. The new company will be called LifePoint.
When the companies announced the merger a press release said that the then LifePoint CEO William Carpenter would lead the new company.
A separate press release in September announced that Carpenter would retire, and that the COO David Dill would become CEO.
This month, LifePoint announced the new leadership team. John Bumpus will be Executive Vice President, Administration. Michale Coggin will be the Chief Financial Officer. Victor Giovanetti will lead hospital operations. Rob Jay will lead integrated operations and Jennifer Peters will be general counsel.
Bumpus, Coggin and Peters already serve in similar roles for LifePoint. Giovanetti was listed as the president of the eastern group for LifePoint. He was responsible for hospitals in Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Rob Jay was previously the Chief Operating Officer at RCCH. Other executives from RCCH were not listed on the leadership team.
Carpenter, Dill, Coggin and Bumpus would have received a severance package if the new company didn’t offer them a similar job or fired them without cause within 18 months of the merger.
