First Citizens National Bank hosting an event to talk about planning for long term care

By MATT BLOIS

First Citizens National Bank is hosting an event at the Williamson County library about the importance of planning for long term care.

The Smart Women program aims to build financial literacy for women. It’s designed to empower women through education so they feel confident making financial decisions.

The program at the Williamson County Library is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9. There is one session at 11:30 a.m. and another session at 6 p.m.

Jason Ladd, an insurance agent with White and Associates Insurance, will be discussing how long term care insurance works.

Long term care insurance covers the cost of getting help for things like bathing, dressing and getting out of bed. Many policies cover care in patients’ homes or care in a nursing home.

Barbara Moss, the founder of Elder Law, will be discussing how to financially prepare to care for an aging adult.

The event is free and open to the public. Participants can register by calling Sydney Ball at 615-550-2222 or emailing SmartWomenMidTN@FirstCNB.com.

First Citizens National Bank is headquarters in Dyersburg, Tennessee and operates 25 locations in 11 Tennessee counties.
