A Brentwood healthcare company that makes manual and powered wheelchairs was purchased by an investment company and the company’s management team earlier this month.
Numotion provides what it call complex rehab technology. It sells a wide variety of wheelchairs and other mobility products that help people with disabilities participate in everyday life.
The company reports that it has more than 250,000 customers at 140 locations, and more than 2,500 employees.
The company was previously owned by Audax Private Equity and LLR Partners. The companies sold Numotion to AEA investors and Numotion’s management.
In a press release, Numotion CEO Mike Swinford said that the company is grateful for the support it received from Audux and looks forward to continuing to grow.
“We are well positioned to accelerate our growth trajectory and advance our mission of improving the lives of people with disabilities,” he said, according to the press release.
