Advance Financial, the Nashville-based financial services company known for quick loans, money orders, and check cashing services, held its second annual “Day of Giving” to serve over 20 organizations across the state of Tennessee, including a group that provides equestrian therapy at a farm in Franklin.
In all, over 300 Advance Financial employees volunteered more than 1,200 hours.
More than 100 Advance Financial volunteers spent the day at Taproot Farm in Franklin, mending fences, painting barns, removing sticks and rocks and cleaning out the farm’s pond in preparation for summer events. The farm hosts a summer Equestrian Camp that includes equestrian therapy.
Every employee was paid for this time off to volunteer as part of their allotted 40 hours given by the company specifically for the purpose of volunteering (separate from personal vacation time).
