Compliance chief fills role held by former Centerstone officer

The chief compliance officer at skilled nursing services provider Diversicare has taken the same position at fellow Brentwood company AAC Holdings.
Karen Abbott started work at AAC on the last day of February. She had joined Diversicare only last July, when she moved from what had been Iasis Healthcare (now Steward Health Care) after 18 years. At Iasis, she had risen to chief administrative lawyer and associate general counsel and associate secretary.
At addiction provider AAC, Abbott takes over as compliance chief from Tom Doub, the former CEO of Centerstone Research Institute who combined the compliance work with overseeing research efforts since mid-2016. In a filing with regulators, AAC executives said Doub has handed off his previous work and “will remain with the Company for an additional period in 2019 to contribute to certain outcomes research and other initiatives.”
Shares of AAC (Ticker: AAC) were changing hands at $2.33 midday Friday, unchanged on the day. Over the past six months, they have fallen more than 60 percent.
